After a short trip north to Buena Vista CO (30 mi) we spent a busy overnight in Valley RV Park taking care of all the mundane stuff, replenishing resources, laundry and some extra cooking. We also scouted a number of nearby boondocking spots. They were either not appropriate for our size, not appealing or fully occupied.
The next day we traveled 20 mi. further north to Twin Lakes Reservior. This time our campsite is nestled at the edge of a Pine and Aspen forest. Not as spectacular a view this time but it's nice to be in the embrace of trees again.
A tight fit but we made it work.
A short walk from our site starts the Interlaken trail, that merges into the Continental Divide trail, that merges into the Colorado trail.
Wild rose's along the trail.
More to come.

What a spot! Isn't it great to be having a smoke-free summer?
Your reply came up anonymous! Yes it is wonderful. Had just a little smoke early June near Pagosa Springs. Joan
