Visiting Friends near Butte MT

9/12

After Glacier, we planned to spent a few days visiting friends (Holly and Laura) from Salt Springs, FL. They have a beautiful summer home on 40 acres near Butte, Montana.  The landscape is mostly open range and they routinely see Elk rambling through their land.

What a view from the kitchen window.
No need to to go anywhere for a hike, just walking around their land and enjoying views was enough for us. Another good thing about the visit, they had room for us to park on their land.  If we didn't have to stock up for the Wyoming Solar install adventure and a broken fresh water pump in the camper, we'd have never left their place.

View from hill behind home.
After a couple days we were heading east again towards Wyoming.

Coming next, an unexpected stop at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument.
