Still heading east

Nov. 14 2019

Continuing our easterly trek we found an out of the way little campground on the banks of the Red River in Louisiana, Brad's Old Ferry Landing Campground and RV Park (link). One thing I like about Passport America (other than the half price camping) is we've visited some unique little gems we'd never have found otherwise.

You have to be self contained. There are no amenities like restrooms or showers, just a quiet little park out in the middle of nowhere where you can really get away from it all.

Late one afternoon we walked to the NEW ferry landing, about a quarter mile away.

The toll is $1 per vehicle and a guarter for pedestrians, a real bargin.  Plus they only charged when you headed east, west bound was free.

Walking back we noticed this mock village that was obviously used for local festivals, although not in several years.

Continuing our path east, the next stop was Walmart in Waynesboro MS followed by 2 nights at A-Okay campground outside Dothan AL to wait out a rainy day.

Another good travel day got us to Creekside RV park south of Albany GA, again to wait out the weather.
